About this trip
This is a coach tour that moves steadily across Japan's main sights, from Osaka down through Hiroshima and Himeji, then up through Kyoto to Tokyo. You get a broad sweep of the country's history and culture in a short space of time, with a private room to yourself each night in 3-star hotels.
The route takes in a working sake brewery, a preserved Edo-period canal town, the Miyajima shrine and Atomic Bomb Dome in Hiroshima, and Himeji's castle, before Kyoto's shrines and deer park and a stop by Lake Yamanaka for views of Mt Fuji. The tour ends with two nights in Tokyo, including a day left free to explore on your own.
It suits travellers who want to cover a lot of ground and see Japan's headline sights without organising the logistics themselves.
