About this trip
This is an overland journey from Marrakech to Fes, cutting through the Sahara rather than skipping over it. You leave the city behind, cross the Atlas Mountains and head for the dunes at Merzouga.
A camel trek out into the desert and a night at a camp under the stars form the centre of the trip. From there you continue on to Fes, following the Ziz Valley for a final day of driving through changing landscapes.
