Galapagos Adventure: Northern Islands (Grand Daphne)

A week aboard a motor yacht through the northern Galapagos islands, with a local naturalist guide along to help you make sense of what you're seeing. This is a small, remote part of the world shaped by near-total isolation from the mainland, and the trip is built around getting you into it properly, on land, in the water and everywhere between.

Days mix lava-field hikes with snorkelling and time in the water alongside sea lions and whatever else turns up. You sleep aboard the boat each night, moving between islands as you go.

It's an active trip. You'll be climbing in and out of Zodiac boats for wet and dry landings, navigating steep steps between decks, and dealing with whatever the sea decides to do that day.

What you'll do

• Hike across hardened lava landscapes on the northern islands
