About this trip
This 13-day trip runs from Bangkok to Nusa Dua, mixing Thailand's temples and history with Bali's beaches and rice terraces. You have a private guide and driver for the Thailand legs, so the pace bends around you rather than a group timetable.
You start in Bangkok's markets and temples, then head to Ayutthaya to walk the ruins of Thailand's old capital. From there it's south to Phuket for beach time and island hopping, before flying on to Bali to finish in Uluwatu, Ubud and Nusa Dua.
It's built for a relaxed, family-friendly pace rather than a packed itinerary, with private transport smoothing the logistics between very different stops.
What you'll do
- Visit Wat Arun and the Grand Palace in Bangkok
- Wander the temple ruins of Ayutthaya, a UNESCO World Heritage site
- Take a speedboat tour to islands near Phuket
- See Uluwatu Temple perched above Bali's coast
- Explore the rice terraces and artistic town of Ubud
- Finish with downtime in Nusa Dua
- Private guide and driver in Thailand, with a partially guided structure overall
- Covers two countries and four distinct bases, so you'll be packing and moving on a fair bit
- Geared toward a relaxed, family-suited pace rather than constant activity
