About this trip

Nine days across Palawan, moving between Puerto Princesa, Port Barton, and El Nido as a small group, without having to plan the logistics yourself.

The route takes in the Underground River, island hopping in Honda Bay, snorkelling off Port Barton, and the lagoons and beaches around El Nido, giving you a broad look at the island's coastline and karst scenery.

It's a relaxed, mostly guided trip built around swimming, boats, and beaches rather than a packed sightseeing schedule.

What you'll do

  • Visit the Puerto Princesa Underground River
  • Island hop around Honda Bay
  • Snorkel the reefs off Port Barton
  • Chance to swim with whale sharks
  • Explore Secret Beach and Helicopter Island in El Nido
  • Cruise the lagoons of El Nido
Good to know
  • Covers three separate bases, so you'll move location a few times over the nine days
  • Whale shark swims depend on the animals being around, so it isn't guaranteed
  • Suits travellers who want the highlights without organising transport and boats themselves

What's included

  • Guide: Expert English-speaking local guide
  • Meals: 8 Breakfasts 5 Lunch Please note that dietary requirements are limited in Japan, particularly for vegans. While we make every effort to accommodate dietary requirements, due to the cuisine in Japan, this isn't always easy. Guests with strict dietary requirements may need to provide for themselves for certain meals. Please contact our Travel Experts for more information.
  • Insurance: Basic insurance is included on this tour. The policy comes into effect on arriving at the destination, at the start of the services with us Travel and it expires when the circuit arranged by our company has ended.
  • Transport: All mentioned internal flights, trains, and cruises Private & air-conditioned vehicle with ample space. The situation in the Philippines is somewhat unique. The 16-person small group we arrange mainly refers to the land transportation and dedicated services during the land portion of the itinerary. For island-hopping and other sea excursions, local operators typically arrange shared boats for multiple groups, so the number of passengers on board may exceed 16 people. This is the standard practice for marine activities in the Philippines, which means the boat can be more crowded. If this is a concern for you, we kindly recommend considering it carefully before making your reservation. Carpooling: No mandatory carpool restrictions when time is tight; for flights on the same day or with an interval of ≤1.5 hours, the tour guide will communicate and arrange in advance with guests. Fixed itinerary transportation: Includes airport pick-up on the first day of the group tour and drop-off on the last day; additional transportation for other days requires separate payment. Single pick-up/drop-off (airport/terminal/hotel): Only includes a driver, no tour guide.
  • Accommodation: 3 nights Puerto Princesa 2 nights Port Barton 3 nights El Nido Carefully selected accommodation with breakfast Accommodation based on two people sharing (for each person not sharing a room, the single supplement will be added) Well screened Hotels Handpicked hotels with good service and spacious room.
