Three days out of Hanoi to Sapa, with two nights based in a hotel and days spent walking between hill tribe villages across terraced rice paddies.
You visit Cat Cat, Lao Chai, Ta Van and Giang Ta Chai, getting a look at everyday life among some of the region's best-known ethnic groups rather than just passing through.
