About this trip
Ten days across three distinct parts of Portugal, moving from Lisbon's old streets to Porto's riverside and on to the volcanic island of Madeira. It's a partially guided trip, easy-paced and suited to families or anyone who'd rather cover ground without a rigid schedule.
You'll start in Lisbon taking in cobblestone streets, ancient ruins and a UNESCO-listed village tucked in the forested hills nearby, before heading north to Porto for its colourful riverside architecture and the wine country along the Douro.
The last stretch is Madeira, a different pace altogether — green mountains, forest and cliffs, with Funchal as your base for old town streets, local markets and the island's own wine.
