About this trip
This 11-day route takes you across western and central Bhutan, from Paro and Thimphu through the Phobjikha Valley to Trongsa and Bumthang, with an English-speaking guide and driver alongside you throughout. The itinerary can be adjusted to suit your interests and timeframe, so the pace and focus are partly up to you.
Days are built around dzongs, monasteries, and valleys steeped in history, alongside markets, local meals, and conversations that give a real sense of Bhutanese life. The route climbs over mountain passes between regions, taking in changing landscapes as much as individual sights.
It ends back in Paro with the hike up to Taktsang, the Tiger's Nest Monastery, perched on a cliffside and one of the country's most sacred places.

Worth it if you value personalized service, knowledgeable guides, and authentic experiences. Think twice if you need flexibility with flights or travel during peak seasons.
- Guides and drivers consistently go above and beyond, arranging extra stops, treks, and adjusting plans when weather hits.
- Company delivers on tailor-made promises: food experiences, local farm stays, and adventure activities genuinely impress repeat customers.
- Book flights to Bhutan first; limited airlines and flights mean your tour confirmation depends on flight availability, not the reverse.
- January visits are cold but doable; timing your trip around Bhutan's flight schedules matters more than season preferences.
