About this trip
Seven days across Tanzania's Northern Circuit, covering the parks that give this region its reputation for big game and open plains.
You travel in custom-built 4x4 vehicles with open roofs for game viewing, in a small group capped at six per vehicle so everyone gets a window seat.
Meals, accommodation and park entry fees are all included, so the days are free to focus on what's in front of the vehicle.
What you'll do
- Game drives through Lake Manyara, Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater and Tarangire
- Open-roof 4x4 viewing with a guaranteed window seat
- Small group capped at six travellers per vehicle
- Seat-in-vehicle format — you'll likely share the trip with other small groups also on board
- Days are largely built around game drives, so expect long stretches in the vehicle
Worth it if you want expert guides and genuine wildlife sightings in comfort. Think twice if you need guaranteed Big Five sightings or prefer less structured itineraries.
- Guide quality is genuinely exceptional—Tarimo, Joseph, Kimario consistently praised for animal-spotting skill and deep park knowledge.
- Lodges and tented camps deliver real comfort: spacious tents with en-suite bathrooms, excellent food, and bonfire dinners that actually happen.
- Wildlife sightings span Big Five plus rare encounters: reviewers saw wild dogs, wildebeest herds, and diverse species across Serengeti, Tarangire, Ngorongoro.
- Itinerary covers cultural visits to Maasai and Hadzabe alongside parks—adds depth but means longer days with varied pacing throughout.
