About this trip
Two weeks that cover the full sweep of Egypt's ancient sites, then hands you a few days by the Red Sea to recover from all that walking. You start in Cairo among the pyramids and museums, spend several days cruising the Nile between Luxor and Aswan, and finish with beach time in Sharm El-Sheikh.
This is a fully guided, easy-paced trip built for sightseeing rather than adventure, so it suits families and anyone who'd rather have a guide explain the history than piece it together themselves. Temples, tombs and museums make up most of the days, with the Nile cruise itself doing a good chunk of the travelling for you.
The GEM Museum visit adds Cairo's new Grand Egyptian Museum to the usual Cairo highlights, so you get both the old Egyptian Museum collection and the newer displays before heading south.
