About this trip
Five days through one of Bolivia's most striking landscapes, from the rusting relics of the Train Cemetery to the blinding white of the Uyuni salt flats. You move through a run of high-altitude scenery that shifts from salt pans to coloured lagoons to volcanic rock formations.
Nights are part of the experience here: one spent in a hotel built from salt, another in a remote hostel out in the desert. Along the way there's time to soak in thermal springs and watch for flamingos on the lagoons.
This is a private, partially guided trip starting and ending in La Paz, so it works well for families or small groups wanting Uyuni at their own pace rather than joining a large fixed group.
