About this trip
Five days based on Maafushi, an inhabited island in the Maldives just 15 minutes from Male airport by boat. This is a beach-and-water holiday rather than an island-hopping marathon, with a hotel base and easy access to the sea.
Days are built around the coral reefs and warm shallows just off the beach, with time set aside for swimming, snorkelling and a range of water sports. Maldivian food and a look at local island life are part of the package alongside the beach time.
It suits anyone after a straightforward tropical escape with some structure to it, rather than a packed sightseeing itinerary.
