About this trip
Three days from Marrakech to Fes, crossing the High Atlas Mountains and out into the Sahara before looping north again. It's a one-way route through some of Morocco's most dramatic landscapes rather than a loop back to where you started.
You'll pass through kasbahs, gorges and valleys on the way to Merzouga, ride a camel into the dunes for sunset, and sleep out under the stars in a desert camp. The return leg takes you through cedar forests and mountain towns that feel a world away from the desert.
It's a fast-moving overland route rather than a relaxed base-and-explore holiday, with a new landscape and a new stop most days.
