About this trip
Five days moving between Bangkok's temples and markets and the quieter ruins of Thailand's old capitals. You start and finish in Bangkok, with the days in between spent tracing the country's history from ancient monuments to rainforest villages.
The core of the trip is Ayutthaya and Sukhothai, two former capitals whose ruins give a real sense of the kingdoms that once stood here. You'll also spend time in remote rainforest communities, meeting people whose way of life hasn't changed much.
It's a small group of up to eight, partially guided, and pitched as an easy pace, so there's room to take things in rather than rush between sights.
