About this trip
Eight days across four of Uganda's major parks, run as a private trip so it's just your group and your guide moving through savannah, forest and volcanic hills.
You start in Murchison Falls with a chance at Big Five sightings and a boat ride up to the base of the falls, then head to Kibale for chimp trekking among genuinely dense primate populations. Queen Elizabeth National Park follows, with classic game viewing and the outside chance of spotting the tree-climbing lions the area is known for, before you finish in Bwindi for gorilla trekking.
It's a proper wildlife circuit rather than a relaxed safari — expect early starts, long drives between parks and physical trekking days on top of the game drives.
What you'll do

- Chimp trekking in Kibale National Park
- Game drives in Queen Elizabeth National Park with a chance of tree-climbing lions
- Boat trip along the Kazinga Channel
- Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
- Private tour — just your own group, not joined with other travellers

- Covers a lot of ground across four parks in eight days, so travel days are part of the experience
Worth it if you want genuinely stellar guides, varied wildlife and willing to accept long driving days. Think twice if you need a relaxed pace.
- Guides Emma, Boaz and Herbert are exceptional: sharp at spotting animals, deeply knowledgeable, genuinely warm and invested in your experience.
- Eight days delivers real variety: mountain gorillas, chimps, lions, elephants, Murchison Falls and cultural encounters with Batwa pygmies across distinct regions.
- Expect substantial driving time; vast country means long transit days between wildlife zones. Requires flexibility and genuine interest in the journey itself.
- Accommodation and food consistently excellent throughout. Devine African Safaris handles logistics smoothly with strong local networks and straightforward booking support.
