  1. WELCOME TO NORWAY — Oslo

Arrive in Oslo and make your own way to the hotel. Depending on when you land, you might have time to wander Karl Johan's Street, the main drag lined with shops, bars and cafes. Your tour leader briefs you at the hotel reception (or tomorrow at breakfast if you're arriving late).

  2. OSLO – GEILO – FLÅM – SOGNEFJORD – VOSS — Oslo

Head out early through Norwegian countryside, passing Lake Tyrifjord and Hallingdal Valley towards Flåm. Board a mountain railway from Geilo to Myrdal station, then take the Flåmsbana – one of the world's steepest train lines – down to Flåm.

  3. VOSS – BERGEN — Voss

Drive to Bergen, the Gateway to the Fjords. A local guide shows you around for two hours: the Hanseatic Bryggen, Mary's Church, Håkon Fortress and the Fish Market. Optional trip up the Fløibanen Funicular if you want. Rest of the day is yours.

  4. Ferry across Sognefjord from Oppdal to Lavik – Norway's longest and deepest fjord, stretching 204km inland. Then drive to Briksdal Glacier, an arm of Jostedalsbreen that drops 1,200 metres into Briksdalen Valley between waterfalls and peaks.

  5. LOEN – GEIRANGER FJORD – TROLL’S ROAD - MOLDE — Loen

Cruise the Geiranger Fjord past dramatic waterfalls including The Seven Sisters and The Veil of the Bride. Drive the Eagle Road north – a steep mountain stretch with 11 hairpin bends climbing 620 metres from Geirangerfjord towards Eidsdal.

  6. Drive the Atlantic Road, a celebrated feat of engineering connecting sea and land via bridges and dikes. Voted Norway's 'work of art of the century' and ranked among the world's best road routes. Continue south to the Otta region.

  7. Head back to Oslo with a short stop in Lillehammer, the Olympic City. Drive along Lake Mjøsa, Norway's largest lake. A local guide takes you around Oslo for three hours: Frogner Park's Vigeland sculptures, the Royal Palace, City Hall and Akershus Fortress.

  8. Final breakfast and time for last-minute Viking souvenir shopping. Make your own way to the airport (or pre-book a private transfer).
