Galápagos Multisport

Start & end in Quito 10 days Up to 16

About this trip

Ten days in the Galápagos, based on shore rather than aboard a boat, giving you proper beds and a fixed base to return to each night.

You spend your days on and around Isabela island, one of the quieter parts of the archipelago, snorkelling alongside sea lions and manta rays and walking among giant tortoises.

The pace mixes guided excursions with genuine free time, so you can add optional activities or just take a slower day if you want one.

What you'll do

  • Snorkel with sea lions and giant manta rays off Isabela
  • Walk among Galápagos giant tortoises in their natural habitat
  • Explore the lesser-visited island of Isabela rather than the busier tourist spots
  • Mix of guided wildlife excursions and free time to fill as you choose
Good to know
  • You sleep on shore each night rather than on a boat, so this suits those who prefer a fixed base over live-aboard travel
  • Moderate pace with a balance of scheduled activities and free time
  • Optional activities are available if you want to fill the free time
What travellers actually say

Worth it if you're reasonably fit and don't mind paying extra for premium activities. Think twice if you need a full 5-star experience or can't sustain 6km daily walks.

  • Guides genuinely know the islands and tailor the experience to your fitness level and interests.
  • Best snorkeling activity costs extra (£120) and arguably should be included in the headline package.
  • This is a genuine multisport trip: expect daily 6km walks, kayaking, snorkeling, biking combined.
  • Stays in local hostels and community-run restaurants create genuine connection rather than resort tourism.
