Highlights of India, Nepal & Bhutan

New Delhi → Paro 14 days Up to 10

About this trip

Three countries in 14 days: India, Nepal and Bhutan, covering everything from Mughal architecture to Himalayan monasteries. You move between the flat plains of Delhi and Rajasthan and the mountain kingdoms of Nepal and Bhutan, taking in some of the region's most recognisable sights along the way.

In India you'll see the Taj Mahal, explore Rajasthan's forts and palaces, and take a rickshaw through Delhi's old city streets. From there it's on to Kathmandu for stupas, temple squares and a scenic flight past Everest, then Bhutan for the hike up to Tiger's Nest above Paro.

It's a lot of ground for two weeks, so expect a packed schedule with regular flights and transfers between countries rather than long stays in any one place.

What you'll do

  • Visit the Taj Mahal and explore the forts and palaces of Rajasthan
  • Take a rickshaw ride through Chandni Chowk in Old Delhi
  • See Delhi's Jama Masjid, Red Fort, Humayun's Tomb and India Gate
  • Fly past Mount Everest for an aerial view of the Himalayas
  • Visit Swayambhunath and Boudhanath stupas and the Durbar Squares of Bhaktapur and Patan in Kathmandu
  • Hike to Tiger's Nest monastery above Paro, Bhutan
Good to know
  • Covers three countries in 14 days, so the pace is fast with frequent flights and transfers
  • Partially guided — some sections have a guide, others are more independent
  • Suits travellers who want a broad introduction to the region rather than a slow, in-depth stay
