   Day 1 · BerlinBerlin

   You'll meet your group at 6 pm in Berlin. The city's packed with historic sites, galleries and architecture, plus a serious nightlife scene. If you arrive early, explore on foot and grab currywurst and a stein with your new crew.

   Day 2 · WroclawWroclaw

   Travel to Wroclaw, Poland's cultural centre on the River Oder, arriving early afternoon. After settling in, your leader walks you around the old streets. The rest is yours—check out Cathedral Island, the Old Town Square, the Four Denominations District, or picnic by the river.

   Day 3 · KrakowKrakow

   

   Train to Krakow for two nights. Your leader shows you the UNESCO Old Town's medieval architecture and sprawling squares. Grab zapiekanka (mushroom and cheese baguette) along the way, then explore Wawel Royal Castle, St Mary's Basilica with its Gothic altarpiece, or St Francis' Basilica on your own.

   Day 4 · KrakowKrakow

   Free day in Krakow. Walk the Royal Route past Florianska Gate and the Barbican to see the Old Town's highlights. Tonight, eat at a traditional bar mleczny (milk bar)—no English menus, shared tables, authentic Polish home cooking and real local atmosphere.

   Day 5 · PraguePrague

   Bus to Ostrava, then train to Prague. After checking in, your leader orientates you around the city's best sites. Explore the Jewish Quarter and Europe's oldest synagogue, visit the Franz Kafka Museum, walk Charles Bridge and watch the Astronomical Clock tick over.

   Day 6 · PraguePrague

   Free time to catch what you missed yesterday. Prague Castle offers sweeping views of red rooftops and medieval architecture. Day-trip to Kutna Hora for Sedlec Ossuary's skeleton-decorated chapel or St Barbara Church's medieval frescoes. Evening strolls through Old Town or cellar bars and Absinthe lounges, with excellent jazz options.

   Day 7 · PragueCesky Krumlov

   

   Head south to Cesky Krumlov, a 13th-century fairytale town with a riverside castle and Renaissance-Baroque architecture. Your leader walks you through town's architectural details and Old Town mysteries. Climb Castle Tower for views over red rooftops and rolling hills, explore the castle and gardens, or ask about rafting and canoeing.

   Day 8 · ViennaVienna

   Private transfer across to Vienna, Austria's Baroque capital. Your leader shows you the city, then you're free to explore. Art lovers can hit the Leopold Museum for modern Austrian work, the Albertina for Monet and Degas, or Belvedere Palace for the world's largest Gustav Klimt collection.

   Day 9 · ViennaVienna

   Another free day in Vienna. Visit Belvedere Palace, Schoenbrunn or Hofburg Palace for grand Baroque architecture, or try more specific museums—the Schnapps Museum, Sigmund Freud Museum or Globe Museum. Climb St Stephen's Cathedral tower, ride the Prater Ferris Wheel or catch Spanish Riding School dressage.

    Train to Budapest. Your leader walks you around and you sample langos (fried dough). Beyond fairytale architecture, the city's got hip bars, trendy cafes and cheap eats. Your leader gives you insider tips on the best ruin bars—a night out here could be a trip highlight.

    Free day in Budapest. The 13th-century Buda Castle dominates the skyline—tour the palace complex housing the Hungarian National Gallery and Budapest History Museum. Head to Fisherman's Bastion for the best city views, stroll the Castle District's cobbled streets, or take a Danube boat trip past Parliament and the bridges.

    Day 12 · BledBled

    

    Long travel day to Bled. Bus to Ljubljana, then on to the scenic lakeside town in the Julian Alps foothills, arriving late afternoon. Your leader points out the 11th-century clifftop castle and the island church. Hunt for Bled's famous cream cake or join an optional dinner of Slovenian specialties.

    Free day in postcard-perfect Bled. Hire a bike and explore, hike Vintgar Gorge's natural canyon, or raft the Soca River. Keep it lowkey with a pletna (wooden boat) to the island church to ring the wishing bell, or explore Bled Castle and the surrounding area.

• Guide: All Intrepid group trips in Europe are accompanied by one of our local European group leaders. ’Local’ in this context means a leader who is European or lives in Europe. The aim of the group leader is to take the hassle out of your travels and to help you have the best trip possible. Intrepid endeavours to provide the services of an experienced leader however, due to the seasonality of travel, rare situations may arise where your leader is new to a particular region or training other group leaders. Your leader takes care of logistics, will provide information on the places you are travelling through, offer suggestions for things to do and see, recommend great local eating venues and introduce you to our local friends. While not being guides in the traditional sense you can expect them to have a broad general knowledge of the places visited on the trip, including historical, cultural, religious and social aspects. At Intrepid we also aim to support local guides in the individual cities or locations we travel to. If you are interested in delving deeper into the local culture at a specific site or location then your leader can recommend an optional local guide service in most of the main destinations of your trip.

• Transport: TRANSPORT IN EUROPE: Half the fun of travel is the travelling itself, that's why we like to travel the local way – whether that means mingling with commuters on a local train, watching the scenery roll by from the window of a long distance bus, arriving on a high speed train in the city centre of your next destination, or navigating each city's public transport system. In Europe, you are guaranteed to travel by genuine local public transport wherever possible, which puts you right in the centre of the action. Train, Metro, Private vehicle, Public bus, Taxi
• Accommodation: The style of accommodation indicated in the day-to-day itinerary is a guideline only and may change. On some occasions, alternative arrangements may need to be made due to the lack of availability of rooms in our preferred accommodation. In these cases, we will use a similar standard of accommodation. Throughout the trip, we request that our properties prepare rooms in time for our arrival, especially if we're arriving prior to normal check-in time. However, this isn't always possible which means we won't be able to check-in immediately on arrival at some hotels. Instead, we can store our luggage and explore our new destination or on some trips, have use of shared day rooms until all rooms are available., We've sourced our accommodation very carefully and picked the best possible hotels in line with the Intrepid 18 to 35s style of travel. Our first accommodation choice is always as close to the main attraction of the destination as possible, however, sometimes we are not in the right centre of action, which means you may need to hop on a public transport to get to the city centre. Please note that service and accommodation in Europe may be different to the standards you are used to. Your accommodation will not always have private en suite facilities or air-conditioning. European hotels generally don't provide kettles or fridges and in particular destinations, rooms may be rather small. OCCASIONAL ALTERNATIVE ACCOMMODATION: The style of accommodation indicated in the day-to-day itinerary is a guideline. On rare occasions, alternative arrangements may need to be made due to the lack of availability of rooms in our usual accommodation. A similar standard of accommodation will be used in these instances. ROOMING ALLOCATION: Accommodation on this trip is on a twin/multi-share basis. We pair up solo travellers with other travellers of the same gender as per the gender marker on each of their passports. Please note there may be times where facilities will be shared rather than ensuite and rare occasions when you share a room with passengers travelling on different Intrepid trips than your own. SINGLE ROOM SUPPLEMENT: Please note that on many of our 18 to 35s trips in Europe we do not provide a single room supplement option. CHECK-IN TIME: Throughout the trip we request that our hotels prepare rooms in time for our arrival, especially if we're arriving prior to normal check-in time.
