About this trip
Spend Christmas somewhere genuinely different — crossing the Drake Passage aboard the Ocean Victory to reach the Antarctic Peninsula, with the festive season unfolding among glaciers, penguins and whales rather than tinsel and turkey at home.
You'll set out from the world's southernmost city, cruise the South Shetland Islands by Zodiac, and spend Christmas Day itself surrounded by wildlife alongside an Expedition Team and a group of fellow travellers who've chosen the same unusual way to mark the holiday.
There's also a Citizen Science element, so you can contribute real data on the region's ecosystems and climate impact between wildlife encounters and photo stops.
