About this trip
Nine days of hiking through Utah's national parks, starting out from Las Vegas and taking in some of the most striking desert landscapes in the USA. You'll have an expert guide throughout, plus a specialist Navajo guide for Monument Valley, giving you some insight into the Indigenous history behind these places.
The days are built around hiking, from red-rock canyons to desert spires, with a mix of well-known parks and quieter moments like sunset over Arches. It's a moderate-level trip, so you'll want a reasonable base of fitness to get the most out of it.
Expect early starts and evening hikes too, since the heat in these parks can be intense, especially in summer.

- Hike in Zion National Park
- Explore Monument Valley with a Navajo guide
- Walk among the spires of Bryce Canyon
- Catch sunset in Arches National Park
- Hike Island in the Sky in Canyonlands National Park
- Finish with a hike to Horseshoe Bend
- Moderate difficulty — a good fitness level will help you get the most from the included hikes
- Some hikes take place early morning or at sunset to avoid summer heat
- Bring trekking poles for the more strenuous hikes, plus sun protection and at least two litres of water per person
