About this trip
This 8-day trip pairs the hills of Northern Thailand with a stretch of island time in the south, moving from Bangkok up to Chiang Rai and Chiang Mai before flying down to Phuket.
In the north you'll take in tea plantations, hill viewpoints and a royal villa, spend a full day with elephants, and visit one of Thailand's most revered temples. The second half of the trip slows down, with a boat day out to Phi Phi Island and a free day to sit on the beach in Phuket.
It's a fully guided, easy-paced tour with travel and transfers handled for you, making it a straightforward way to see two very different sides of the country in one go.

Worth it if you value knowledgeable guides and smooth logistics. Think twice if you're sensitive to spice or need luxury accommodation.
- Guides like Tony and Tree are genuinely knowledgeable, energetic, and go beyond the itinerary—shopping trips included.
- Transport is punctual and comfortable throughout; everything runs on time with professional drivers and zero logistics stress.
- Local restaurant food, whilst authentic, is heavily spiced; vegetarian options exist but expect intense chillies as standard.
- Hotels are mid-range, clean and friendly but not luxurious; expect basic comfort rather than high-end amenities.
