This trip runs through Vietnam from north to south before finishing in Bali, taking in imperial history, war history, and a very different pace of life once you land in Indonesia. It's a lot of ground in 14 days, so expect a steady rhythm of moving on to the next city every day or two.
In Vietnam you go from Hanoi's Old Quarter and an overnight boat in Halong Bay down to the old temples of Hoi An and Hue, then into Ho Chi Minh City and the Cu Chi Tunnels for a look at the war years. Bali closes things out with temples, volcano views, and some proper downtime.
