About this trip
Eight days on the road across Zambia, Botswana and Zimbabwe, chasing wildlife and river views along the way. You start in Lusaka and head south overland, stopping in Choma before reaching Livingstone, the base for crossing into both neighbouring countries.
The wildlife is the point here — a rhino tracking walk in Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park, a full day in Chobe National Park with its huge elephant herds and strong predator numbers, and a game drive through Zimbabwe's Zambezi National Park. You also get Victoria Falls from both the Zambian and Zimbabwean sides.
It's a border-hopping trip by design, so expect overland travel and some museum and heritage stops (Choma, Livingstone, Munali Pass) mixed in with the safari days.

Worth it if you book with Fines as guide and accept variable accommodation standards. Think twice if you need consistency, animal welfare standards, or luxury.
- Guide Fines delivered exceptional wildlife knowledge, cultural insight, and genuine care throughout the trip.
- Vehicle overcrowding on long drives; six people crammed into five-seat car made journeys uncomfortable.
- Animal rehabilitation centre visit involved visible animal cruelty; guides poked crocodiles and teased lions with meat.
- Accommodation quality varies wildly; some rooms had black mould while others were spacious, same booking.
