  1. You'll be met at the airport and driven to Negombo, a coastal town with churches earning it the nickname 'Little Rome'. Spend time at the bustling fish market watching the daily catch come in, then settle at your beachfront hotel for the afternoon.

  2. Dambulla — Dambulla

    Head inland to Dambulla Cave Temple, an ancient sanctuary carved into rock with intricate paintings and ornate statues. Climb to a hilltop to see the Golden Buddha overlooking the town, then check into accommodation with panoramic views of Sigiriya Rock for tomorrow's climb.

  3. Rise early to climb Sigiriya Lion Rock, a UNESCO site with ancient fortress ruins and views across the landscape. Explore Sigiriya town in the afternoon, then join villagers for an authentic Sri Lankan meal cooked over a bonfire in a local farming village.

  4. Kandy — Kandy

    Travel to Kandy and visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic, believed to hold a relic of spiritual and historical importance housed in the royal palace complex. Watch a cultural dance show, visit a viewpoint and Matale Spice Garden, then catch the sunset over Kandy Lake from your hillside hotel.

  5. Nuwara Eliya / Train Ride to Ella — Nuwara Eliya

    Pass through Nuwara Eliya and spend the morning at a local tea plantation learning how tea is processed from leaf to cup. Board the scenic train from Nuwara Eliya to Ella, traveling through landscapes with waterfalls, wildlife sightings and encounters with locals along the way.

  8. Unawatuna — Unawatuna

    Reach the coastal town of Unawatuna and unwind on its pristine beaches. Water sports like snorkeling, diving and surfing are available in the crystal-clear waters, or simply relax at a beachside restaurant with fresh seafood and sunset views.

  9. Spend a free day at Unawatuna or Dikwella. Bask on the sand, swim in clear waters, snorkel among colourful marine life, or take a leisurely stroll along the shore—the choice is yours.

  10. Travel to Colombo, the capital with a history stretching back to the fifth century. Visit the Red Mosque, Gangarama Temple and Independence Square, then transfer to the airport for your flight home or arrange a drop-off in Colombo or Negombo.
