About this trip
Eight days from Casablanca to Marrakech, covering the Atlantic coast, the imperial cities and a night in the Sahara. It's a fast-moving route that packs in a lot of Morocco's variety without settling in any one place for long.
You'll start in Casablanca and Rabat, cross into the blue streets of Chefchaouen, then spend time in Fes exploring the old medina before heading through the Middle Atlas towards the desert. A camel trek and a night under canvas in Merzouga break up the driving before the route loops back through Todra Gorge and Ait Benhaddou to Marrakech.
This suits people who want to see the country's highlights in one go — coast, mountains, desert and cities — rather than dig deep into any single region.
