About this trip
Eight days out of Marrakech taking in the Atlas Mountains, the Sahara and some of Morocco's best-known historic sites, with a night camping in the desert along the way.
You start and finish in Marrakech, with time to explore its souks and landmarks, before heading over the mountains to Merzouga for camel trekking and a night under the stars. The route back takes in the Todra Gorge, the kasbah at Ait Benhaddou and the film studios at Ouarzazate.
It's a well-rounded introduction to the country — cities, mountains, desert and history — rather than a deep dive into any one region.
