About this trip
This is a guided trek to Everest Base Camp, following the Dudh Koshi valley deep into the Himalayas. It's a serious, high-altitude walk rather than a scenic stroll, built around one clear goal: standing at the foot of the world's highest mountain.
You'll fly from Kathmandu into Lukla, then walk through Sherpa villages and past centuries-old monasteries, with built-in acclimatisation stops in Namche Bazaar and Dingboche before pushing on to base camp. Along the way you'll see more than 30 mountains, including four of the world's ten highest.
The trek to base camp itself comes around day eight, with a steady 6 hours of walking a day. From there you climb Kala Patthar for a full 360-degree view of the surrounding peaks before heading back down toward Namche.
