About this trip
Seven days across Oman, moving from the capital's grand architecture to the red dunes of Wahiba Sands and the coastal towns further south. It's a trip built around contrast — history and desert, mosque and wadi, city and coast — with enough ground covered to get a real sense of the country.
You start in Muscat, taking in its major landmarks, before heading inland to Nizwa, long regarded as Oman's cultural heart. From there the route runs through desert, wadi and coast, ending with the shipbuilding town of Sur and a stop at the Bimmah Sinkhole.
This is a partially guided trip, suited to families or private groups wanting a well-rounded introduction to Oman rather than a single-focus itinerary.
