About this trip
This is Upper Mustang by road rather than on foot, built for those who are short on time or simply prefer driving to trekking. Over 7 days you cover the same remote, restricted region that trekkers take weeks to reach, without the daily walking.
The route runs through arid, high-altitude desert scenery into Tibetan-style villages, past centuries-old monasteries, and on to the walled city of Lo Manthang, sometimes called Mini Tibet for its strong Buddhist and Tibetan character.
