About this trip
Six days across Rwanda and Uganda built around one big goal: coming face to face with mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. You start in Kigali, getting a proper feel for the city and its history before heading out to wilder ground.
Days split between wildlife-watching in Akagera National Park and gorilla trekking across the border in Uganda, with time built in for local culture, markets and food along the way.
It's a mix of safari, serious hiking and city time rather than one single focus, so expect the pace and terrain to change a fair bit day to day.
