About this trip
Nine days in Rwanda built around two big wildlife encounters: gorilla trekking and chimp tracking, with the rest of the trip filling out your picture of the country's forests and hills.
Nyungwe National Park is the other main focus, and there's more to it than the primates — a canopy walk, the Kamiranzovu trail and other hikes give you a proper feel for the Land of a Thousand Hills.
This runs as a private tour, though for the gorilla and chimp treks you'll join other travellers in the group required for those activities. Accommodation is budget-style as standard, with mid-range or luxury available if you ask in advance.
