About this trip
A week-long loop around Tasmania, starting and finishing in Hobart, that takes in the island's national parks, coastline and small towns without rushing through any of them. You will be moving most days, but the pace is built around walking and looking rather than ticking off a checklist.
The route runs from the mountains and lakes of the interior out to the wild West Coast, up to Cradle Mountain, across to Launceston, then down the east coast beaches before finishing with wildlife and colonial history closer to Hobart.
It suits people who want to see the range of what Tasmania offers — alpine trails, old mining towns, white-sand bays, and native animals — in one manageable trip.
