About this trip

This one moves fast, taking you from San Francisco's bay and landmarks into the deserts and canyons of the American Southwest in under a week.

You start with the city itself, then head inland to Yosemite before the landscape shifts entirely: Las Vegas neon, then the vast scale of the Grand Canyon, Antelope Canyon, Bryce Canyon and Zion.

It's a lot of ground covered in a short time, built for people who want a broad first taste of California and the Southwest rather than a slow look at one place.

What you'll do

  • Cruise San Francisco Bay past Alcatraz and the Golden Gate Bridge
  • Tour San Francisco's city landmarks
  • See El Capitan and Yosemite Falls in Yosemite National Park
  • Take in the Strip in Las Vegas
  • Stand at the rim of the Grand Canyon
  • Walk among the hoodoos of Bryce Canyon and the cliffs of Zion
Good to know
  • Fast-paced — six days covers two cities and five natural landmarks, so most stops are brief
  • Best suited to travellers who want a highlights overview rather than in-depth time in any one park
  • Fully guided throughout, so logistics between stops are handled for you
