About this trip

A quick, guided loop out of Las Vegas that takes in four of the Southwest's big-name landscapes in three days. It's built around short walks and viewpoints rather than serious hiking, so the focus is on seeing rather than sweating.

Expect a fair bit of driving between stops, with the payoff being sunset at Bryce Canyon, the striped walls of Antelope Canyon and a short hike in Zion, on top of the Grand Canyon itself.

You're back in Las Vegas at the end, ready to swap red rock for neon.

What you'll do

  • Stop at multiple viewpoints along the Grand Canyon rim
  • Easy walks through Grand Canyon National Park
  • Watch sunset at Bryce Canyon
  • See the rock formations of Antelope Canyon
  • Short hike in Zion National Park
Good to know
  • Fast-paced — four parks in three days means long driving stretches
  • Walks are easy and suited to families rather than serious hikers
  • Starts and ends in Las Vegas

  1. The Grand Canyon — Las Vegas

Leave Las Vegas and drive southeast through the Navajo Indian Reservation to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. Tour the South Rim and learn about the Colorado River's sculpting of the landscape over millions of years. Stop at Indian marketplaces for handmade crafts, then head east to Page and Lake Powell for the night.

  2. Antelope Canyon & Bryce Canyon National Park — Page

Explore lower Antelope Canyon, where wind and water have carved spectacular dunes into the rock. Travel west to Bryce Canyon National Park and tour its distinctive natural rock formations shaped by rain, wind and sunlight. Watch the colour changes at sunset from one of the park's vista points before heading to Kanab.

  3. Drive into Zion National Park and tour the area named by Mormon settlers who felt it resembled a religious experience. Walk a short trail along the Virgin River running through the park, then drive back to Las Vegas for an early evening arrival around 20:00–21:00.
