Everest Circuit Tekking

This is a serious high-altitude trek that links two of the Khumbu's classic routes, taking you over the Cho La pass at 5330m to reach Everest Base Camp, with a detour to the Gokyo lakes and peak along the way.

You'll fly into Lukla and work through Sherpa villages and acclimatisation stops before the tougher sections begin. It's a demanding route both in distance and altitude, and it rewards you with close-up views of Everest, Cho Oyu and Makalu rather than just distant glimpses.

This suits trekkers who want more than the standard Base Camp trail — the Cho La crossing and Gokyo add real physical challenge and some of the best panoramic views in the region.

What you'll do

• Fly into Lukla and trek through Namche Bazaar

• Climb Gokyo Peak (5483m) for views of Everest, Cho Oyu and Makalu
• Visit the Gokyo Lakes at the source of the Dudh Koshi
• Reach Everest Base Camp
