About this trip
Fourteen days across North India and Nepal, covering the classic Golden Triangle sights before heading into the Himalayas for a taste of trekking. You travel by private AC car with an English-speaking driver, with two international flights included to link the countries.
Expect a mix of big-name monuments and hands-on experience: the Taj Mahal and Jaipur's forts and palaces, a rickshaw ride through Old Delhi, and a cooking class to get under the skin of Indian food. In Nepal the pace shifts towards nature and mountains, with a wildlife safari in Chitwan and two days of trekking in the hills.
It is a guided trip throughout, with local guides in each city, so you are not left to work out logistics between countries and long drives.
What you'll do
- See the Taj Mahal and explore Agra's Mughal architecture
- Take a rickshaw ride through the lanes of Old Delhi
- Join a cooking class in Jaipur, the Pink City
- Spot one-horned rhinos on safari in Chitwan National Park
- Visit the UNESCO stupas, temples and palaces of Kathmandu, Patan and Bhaktapur
- Trek for two days in the Himalayan foothills, with the option of a mountain flight past Everest or paragliding in Pokhara
- Covers two countries and a lot of ground, so days are often full with driving and sightseeing
- Moderate pace overall, but includes a genuine two-day trek rather than just easy walking
- Suited to travellers who want temples and monuments as well as a taste of the mountains, not a dedicated trekking trip
Worth it if you value seamless logistics and a reliable private driver. Think twice if you need extensive hand-holding or prefer smaller group dynamics.
- Private drivers (Vivek, Prakash, Hans) consistently went beyond driving: arranged local guides, found authentic restaurants, explained customs, helped avoid scams.
- Itinerary covers serious ground fast: Golden Triangle plus Mussorie, Rishikesh, Ranthambore National Park and Nepal in 14 days, all on schedule.
- Agency remains contactable throughout, answering questions and arranging extras even late evening; pre-trip planning handled via email and WhatsApp.
- Pace is relentlessly busy fitting multiple regions into five days; suits energetic travellers but leaves little downtime or spontaneity.
