About this trip
Thirteen days across four countries, moving through colonial towns, Maya ruins and volcanic landscapes with a small group and a guide the whole way.
You'll spend time in Guatemala's highlands, cruise Lake Atitlan to villages home to the Tzutujil Maya, cross into Honduras for the ruins at Copan, then work through El Salvador and Nicaragua taking in Suchitoto, Leon, Granada and the quiet of Ometepe Island.
It's a trip built around contrast — busy markets and lakeside villages, grand ruins and laid-back island beaches, colonial history and volcanic scenery, all in one route.
