About this trip

Six days across Peru's classic route, from Lima to Cusco, the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu. It's a compact way to cover the highlights without needing to plan the logistics yourself.

You start in Lima taking in both the old town and the newer parts of the city, then fly to Cusco to get a feel for the former Incan capital and what's around it. From there you move through the Sacred Valley before the final approach to Machu Picchu.

This is a partially guided trip, so you get support for the key legs — flights, transfers, main sites — while still having some room to explore on your own.

  • Explore Lima's historic centre and modern districts
  • Get to know Cusco and its surrounding archaeological sites
  • Visit traditional markets and ruins through the Sacred Valley
  • Travel to Aguas Calientes as the gateway to Machu Picchu
  • Climb up to Machu Picchu itself
