Horseback Ride Through Cotopaxi National Park to Limpiopungo Lagoon

A day trip out of Quito onto horseback, riding through the high páramo of Cotopaxi National Park with the volcano's glacier often in view. No prior riding experience needed, just basic comfort in the saddle.

You ride toward Limpiopungo Lagoon, where wild horses graze the wetland and Andean waterbirds work the shoreline. Groups are capped at 10 riders, so your guide can adjust pace and route to conditions and point out condors, caracaras and local plant life along the way.

Lunch is included and you're back in Quito by evening, making this a straightforward way to get a proper day in the Andes without committing to a longer trip.
