About this trip
Four days built around Luxor's temples and tombs, with a train journey from Cairo on the Talgo, styled after the old-world rail travel of Agatha Christie's era.
You're based at the Iberotel Luxor, a Nile-side hotel with a floating pool and views across to the West Bank, and the days are spent moving between the major sites on both banks of the river.
This is a private, fully guided trip, so it suits families or small groups who want their own pace rather than joining a larger tour.
What you'll do
- Walk the Avenue of Sphinxes and Karnak Temple
- See the Great Colonnade Hall at Luxor Temple
- Enter tombs cut into the Valley of the Kings
- Visit the cliff-side Temple of Queen Hatshepsut
- Explore Ramses III's temple at Medinet Habu
- See the Colossi of Memnon and the Temple of Hathor at Dendera
- Private and fully guided, so timings can flex around your group
- Travel between Cairo and Luxor is by train rather than flight
