About this trip
This is seven days in mainland Greece's mountains, away from the islands and beach crowds, built around getting outdoors in the Pindos region and Meteora.
Expect a mix of hiking, water, and via ferrata days, based around stone-built villages, forests and alpine scenery, with local food and hospitality woven through rather than treated as an afterthought.
It's guided throughout and pitched as suitable for families as well as groups of friends, so the activities are adventurous but not extreme, with an optional add-on for those who want more.
What you'll do
- Hike the Vradeto steps to the Beloi viewpoint over Vikos Gorge
- Raft the Voidomatis river in Northern Pindos National Park
- Hydro-bike or kayak on Lake Plastira
- Tackle the Aoos Canyon via a Via Ferrata route
- Visit the cliff-top monasteries of Meteora
- Finish with a guided walking tour of Athens and the Acropolis
- Mixes hiking, rafting and via ferrata, so a reasonable level of fitness helps
- Optional horseback riding in Northern Pindos National Park can be added
- Marketed as suitable for families as well as groups of friends

Worth it if you're fit, love mountains and small-group intimacy. Think twice if you need predictable itineraries or prefer easier pacing.
- Stavros and Danae feel like local friends, not tour staff—genuine chemistry, expert knowledge, and relentless problem-solving.
- Family-run mountain guesthouses with home-cooked meals beat hotels; real Greek hospitality, warm owners, stunning views included.
- Hikes are genuinely taxing; group adapts to fitness levels, but this isn't leisurely—you need reasonable hill endurance.
- Itinerary shifts based on weather and group mood; flexibility is a feature, not a bug, but plan accordingly.
