About this trip
Nine days across Tibet, taking in the spiritual heart of Lhasa and the landscapes beyond it. You start in the holy city itself, home to the Potala Palace, before heading out to lake and valley scenery that feels a world away from the crowds.
The route moves from Lhasa to the turquoise waters of Yamdroktso Lake, on to the green valleys around Nyingchi, and finishes with the old trading town of Shigatse and its cultural sites. It's a steady mix of temples, monasteries, mountains and small-town life.
Guided throughout, with a small group capped at 15, and travel between towns done by bullet train rather than long road transfers.

Worth it if you value cultural depth and guide quality. Think twice if you need crystal-clear logistical communication.
- Guide Pinto elevated the tour with genuine passion, flawless translations, price negotiation help, and exceptional attentiveness.
- Itinerary pacing struck the right balance—unhurried time at each destination without feeling rushed or overscheduled.
- Communication gaps left some travellers confused about meal logistics; several went hungry due to unclear venue instructions.
- Small group size enabled personalised options for meals and activities, though guide quality appears highly variable.
