About this trip
Five days is enough to get a proper first look at Bhutan, taking in Paro, Thimphu and Punakha without rushing between them. You'll spend time at dzongs and temples, cross a high mountain pass, and hike through forest and valley trails at a manageable pace.
Thimphu forms the cultural core of the trip, with time built in to explore the capital's mix of monasteries, museums and modern life. Along the way there's local food, conversation with people who live there, and a genuine sense of how Bhutanese daily life works.
It's a guided trip suited to those wanting a compact but well-rounded introduction to the country rather than a deep expedition — culture, scenery and a bit of walking, all in one short itinerary.
