Adelaide to Perth Adventure Tour

Adelaide → Perth 10 days Up to 20

About this trip

This is an overland journey from Adelaide to Perth, covering around 4,000 kilometres over 10 days by coach, with camping under the stars most nights. It takes in some of the most remote and striking country in Australia, from the flat expanse of the Nullarbor Plain to the cliffs of the Great Australian Bight.

Along the way you'll swim and surf on quiet stretches of coast, hike through national parks, and spend time in WA's South West, including the vineyards of Margaret River. There's also a cultural stop at Ngilgi Cave, a chance to connect with Aboriginal history and Country.

Guides who know the region well lead the trip, with a mix of driving days, outdoor activity, and time to just take in the scale of the landscape.

What you'll do

  • Cross the Nullarbor Plain
  • Stand on the Bunda Cliffs above the Great Australian Bight
  • Take a learn-to-surf lesson and try sandboarding on the dunes
  • See kangaroos on the white sand at Lucky Bay
  • Visit Ngilgi Cave for an Aboriginal cultural experience
  • Taste wine and local produce in Margaret River
Good to know
  • Camping is part of the trip, so expect basic facilities on some nights
  • Long coach travel days are part of covering this much ground
  • Suits those who want to be outdoors and active rather than sightsee from a bus window
What travellers actually say

Worth it if you're genuinely keen on remote outback camping and don't mind long driving days. Think twice if you need regular showers or prefer curated tourist spots.

  • Guides (Michael, Amanda, Sandy, Jazzy) are knowledgeable, energetic and genuinely passionate about outback history and landscapes.
  • Swag camping under stars on unique sites, plus included walks at Frenchman Peak and Cape Le Grand, delivers authentic remote experiences.
  • Long driving days across Nullarbor are genuinely tiring; you'll go without showers regularly and need warm clothes even in November.
  • Quinninup Eco Park stop mentioned as weak link; reviewers suggest Margaret River wineries could be better curated going forward.
