About this trip

A 5-day round trip from Cape Town along the Garden Route, staying in comfortable accommodation with good food and attentive service throughout.

The main event is Addo Elephant National Park, one of the few reserves anywhere holding the Big 7, so alongside elephants, lion and buffalo you've a chance of spotting great white sharks and southern right whales in the marine section.

Beyond the park, the days settle into forest walks, canoeing on calm water and time on sandy beaches, so there's a mix of wildlife and simply slowing down.

What you'll do

  • Track the Big 7 in Addo Elephant National Park
  • Look out for great white sharks and southern right whales in Addo's marine section
  • Hike through forest along the Garden Route
  • Canoe on calm, scenic water
  • Relax on sandy beaches
Good to know
  • Requires a minimum of 2 adults to start
  • Itinerary can change depending on weather and other conditions
  • Bring sun block, a sunhat, walking shoes, binoculars and a camera
