Red Centre Uluru to West MacDonnell 4WD Tour - to/from Alice Springs

Four days in a 4WD taking you from Alice Springs through the Red Centre's big landmarks: Uluru, Kata Tjuta, Kings Canyon and the West MacDonnell Ranges. A guide travels with you throughout, sharing the history and culture of the area as you go.

This is a hands-on trip rather than a bus-window one. You'll pitch in with meals, learn some bush cooking, and help keep things running alongside your guide and the rest of the group.

At night you choose between a twin safari tent or a swag under the stars, so you can pick your own level of comfort versus outback immersion.

What you'll do

• Watch the sun set over Uluru from a dedicated lookout
• Visit the Uluru-Kata Tjuta Aboriginal Cultural Centre and nearby rock art sites
• Hike the Valley of the Winds or Walpa Gorge in Kata Tjuta
• Walk Kings Canyon in Watarrka National Park
• Explore West MacDonnell sites including Standley Chasm, Ormiston Gorge, Ochre Pits and Ellery Creek Big Hole
• Travel the Mereenie Loop or Red Centre Way, weather permitting
