About this trip
Eight days walking the trails that link the Amalfi Coast's villages, from old mule tracks and stone stairways to limestone cliff paths, with the sea rarely out of view. Ravello, Positano and Capri all feature, alongside quieter rural stretches of Campania that most visitors never see on foot.
You're based at a rustic agriturismo for much of the trip, with organic wine and farm-to-table meals after the day's walking. It's a slower, more grounded way to experience the coast than the usual town-hopping.
What you'll do
- Walk the Path of the Gods from Bomerano to Positano
- Explore the villages of Ravello and Positano on foot
- Stay at a working agriturismo with home-cooked, farm-grown food
- Follow ancient stone stairways and mule tracks through Campania
- Optional day trip to the ruins of Pompeii and Herculaneum
- See Capri as part of the coastal route
- Rated moderate — expect consecutive days of hillside and coastal walking
- Accommodation is a rustic agriturismo rather than hotels, which suits those happy with a simpler, farmhouse style of stay
- Pompeii and Herculaneum are optional extras, not included in the core walking itinerary
Worth it if you want proper local insight and genuine village experiences with a stellar guide. Think twice if you need hand-holding through booking logistics.
- Guide Gennaro or Peter genuinely knew the area deeply and adapted hikes to mixed fitness levels seamlessly.
- Agriturismo base was authentic, with fresh local food and terraces among olive trees rather than generic accommodation.
- TourRadar's booking middleman caused communication slowdowns; direct operator contact would have been faster.
- Itinerary balances proper hikes with village exploration and downtime; described as well-paced rather than relentless.
