About this trip
Fifteen days moving the length of Vietnam, from Hanoi in the north down to Ho Chi Minh City in the south, with a group leader and local guides handling the logistics along the way.
You start with the north's highlights — Halong Bay, Ninh Binh's rice paddies and limestone hills, and the history in Hue — before working south through Hoi An, the coastal town of Nha Trang, the dunes at Mui Ne, and on to the energy of Ho Chi Minh City. It's a proper mix of culture, downtime and nights out.
Most people join solo, though some come with a friend or partner. Either way, you're travelling as part of a small group for the full two weeks, with airport pickup on arrival and transport sorted between stops.
What you'll do
- Cruise the limestone karsts of Halong Bay
- Explore rural life and rice paddies around Ninh Binh
- Take in Hue's imperial history
- Wander the old streets of Hoi An
- Relax on the beach at Nha Trang
- Ride out to the sand dunes of Mui Ne
- Fast-paced — you change base regularly across the 15 days, moving from north to south
- Aimed at solo travellers, though friends and couples join too
- Twin/double share accommodation throughout
Worth it if you want expert-led cultural immersion with a tight-knit group and zero logistics stress. Think twice if you need flexibility—it's jam-packed with early starts and long travel days.
- Tour leaders (Jamie, Jack, Gab, Taylor, Jonny) consistently went above and beyond—patient, attentive, friendly, and adapted to individual needs like vegetarian options.
- Group bonds genuinely felt familial by end; several travellers chose to explore together post-trip, and solo travellers felt zero loneliness throughout.
- Unexpected surprises and standout moments (bike rides Ninh Binh, sandboarding Mui Ne) woven throughout; 15 days hits sweet spot for experiencing Vietnam's essence without rushing.
- Itinerary is genuinely jam-packed with lots of moving parts, long travel days, and private bus journeys; requires stamina and limited flexibility for rest days.
