About this trip
This trip splits into two very different halves: a multi-day climb up Kilimanjaro via the Machame route, camping as you go, followed by a stretch of downtime on Zanzibar's beaches.
Guides lead you up the mountain through changing landscapes and altitudes, with the summit as the goal. Once that's done, you fly to Zanzibar for a complete change of pace, starting with a spice plantation visit and moving into open beach days.
The island section is loosely structured, giving you room to dive, snorkel, or just rest after the climb.
